I’m in the process of building a new website that includes 100 reasons why someone should chant Namu-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. The original idea was to help my grandkids understand the value of chanting the Odaimoku, but as I worked in Gemini Notebook to extract reasons why chanting is important I realized that I, myself, had lost sight of why the Odaimoku is the “Essence of the Essential.” Reading commentaries on the Lotus Sutra, studying other sutras – these are all fine but they shouldn’t become a distraction from the Odaimoku.
As part of this work, I’ve used Gemini Notebook‘s ability to create short explanatory videos illustrating each of the 100 reasons why you should chant Namu-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. Each of these videos is about one minute long and I hope to use them in the future as daily One Minute Daimoku inspiration videos.
Before I finish the overall project I want to get some feedback on the videos. I created a carousel of all 100 videos. When you finish watching a video you are invited to rank the video with one to five stars. The average will be displayed along with the number of viewers who have voted.
