The good men or women who keep, read, recite, expound or copy Myōhō Renge Kyō, will be able to obtain twelve hundred merits of the tongue. Anything which tastes good, bad, delicious, distasteful, bitter or astringent, will become as delicious as the nectar of heaven and not distasteful when it is put on their tongues. When they expound the Dharma to the great multitude with their tongues, they will be able to raise deep and wonderful voices, to cause their voices to reach the hearts of the great multitude so that the great multitude may be joyful and cheerful. Hearing their speeches given in good order by their deep and wonderful voices, Śakra, Brahman, and the other gods and goddesses will come and listen to them.

Myōhō Renge Kyō is the most honorable sūtra.
Myōhō Renge Kyō is superior to all the other sūtras.
I kept Myōhō Renge Kyō [in secret]
And refrained from expounding Myōhō Renge Kyō.
Now is the time to do so.
Therefore, I expound Myōhō Renge Kyō to you now.
Myōhō Renge Kyō Promise for May 30, 2025
“Medicine-King! Although I shall be in another world [after my extinction], I will manifest men and women [by my supernatural powers], dispatch them to the expounder of Myōhō Renge Kyō, and have them collect people to hear Myōhō Renge Kyō from him. I also will manifest monks, nuns and men or women of faith [by my supernatural powers], dispatch them, and have them hear Myōhō Renge Kyō from them. These people manifested [by my supernatural powers] will hear Myōhō Renge Kyō from him, receive Myōhō Renge Kyō by faith, follow Myōhō Renge Kyō, and not oppose Myōhō Renge Kyō. If he lives in a retired place, I will dispatch gods, dragons, demigods, gandharvas, asuras, and others to him, and have them hear Myōhō Renge Kyō from him. Although I shall be in another world, I will cause him to see me from time to time. If he forgets a phrase of Myōhō Renge Kyō, I will tell it to him for his complete [understanding].”

Myōhō Renge Kyō Promise for May 28, 2025
Anyone who visits a monastery to hear
Myōhō Renge Kyō
And rejoices at hearing Myōhō Renge Kyō even for a moment,
Will be able to obtain the following merits:He will be reborn among gods and men.
He will be able to go up to the palace of heaven,
Riding in a wonderful elephant-cart or horse-cart,
Or in a palanquin of wonderful treasures.

Even if I praise for innumerable kalpas
The keeper of Myōhō Renge Kyō,
To whom Myōhō Renge Kyō is to be transmitted,
I cannot praise him highly enough.His merits are as limitless,
As infinite, as boundless
As the skies of the worlds

Good men!
Who will receive and keep Myōhō Renge Kyō,

“Medicine-King! Myōhō Renge Kyō is the store of the hidden core of all the Buddhas. Do not give it to others carelessly! Myōhō Renge Kyō is protected by the Buddhas, by the World-Honored Ones. Myōhō Renge Kyō has not been expounded explicitly.”

(The Buddha said to Śāriputra:)
A kalpa will not be long enough to describe
The punishments to be inflicted
Upon those who slander Myōhō Renge Kyō.Therefore,
I tell you.
Do not expound Myōhō Renge Kyō
To people of no wisdom!Expound Myōhō Renge Kyō to clever people
Who have profound wisdom,
Who hear much,
Who remember well,
And who seek
The enlightenment of the Buddha!

Even you, Śāriputra,
Have understood Myōhō Renge Kyō
Only by faith.
Needless to say,
The other Śrāvakas cannot do otherwise.
They will be able to follow Myōhō Renge Kyō
Only because they believe my words,
Not because they have wisdom.
