“Medicine-King! Suppose a man on a plateau felt thirsty and sought water. He dug a hole in order to get water. As long as he saw the dug-out lumps of earth were dry, he knew that water was still far off. He went on digging, and then found the dug-out lumps of earth wet. When he finally found mud, he was convinced that water was near. In the same manner, know this, the Bodhisattvas who have not yet heard, understood or practised Myōhō Renge Kyō, are still far from Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi.”

Will be able to see me. He also will be able to see

If you wish to obtain quickly the knowledge
Of the equality and differences of all things,

Expound Myōhō Renge Kyō to the Buddha’s sons
Who expound the Dharma without hindrance
To the great multitude
With their pure minds
By telling them
Various stories of previous lives,
Parables and similes,
And also by giving them various discourses!
Myōhō Renge Kyō Promise for April 19, 2025
[The Bodhisattvas] who hear, understand, think over and practice Myōhō Renge Kyō, will approach Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi. Why is that? It is because Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi which all the Bodhisattvas [should attain] is expounded only in Myōhō Renge Kyō.
Myōhō Renge Kyō Promise for April 18, 2025
Having expounded Myōhō Renge Kyō, the Buddha entered a quiet room,
And practiced dhyāna-concentration.
Concentrating his mind, he sat at the same place
For eighty-four thousand kalpas.Seeing him still in dhyāna,
The śramaṇeras wished to expound
The unsurpassed wisdom of the Buddha
To many hundreds of millions of living beings.They each sat on a seat of the Dharma
And expounded Myōhō Renge Kyō.
Also after the peaceful extinction of that Buddha,
They proclaimed Myōhō Renge Kyō, and helped propagate it.They each saved
Six hundred billions of living beings,
That is, as many living beings
As there are sands in the River Ganges.

Listen! I will tell you of the merits
Of those who fearlessly expound
To the great multitude
Myōhō Renge Kyō.They will be able to obtain the excellent eyes
Adorned with eight hundred merits.
Their eyes will be pure
Because of this adornment.

If an expounder of the Dharma
Reads and recites Myōhō Renge Kyō
In a retired and quiet place,
Where no human voice is heard,
I will show my pure and radiant body to him.
If he forgets a sentence or a phrase of Myōhō Renge Kyō,
I will tell it to him

Just as a torch dispels darkness, Myōhō Renge Kyō saves all living beings from all sufferings, from all diseases, and from all the bonds of birth and death.

Who will protect
And keep Myōhō Renge Kyō,
And read and recite Myōhō Renge Kyō
After my extinction?
Make a vow before me to do this!Many-Treasures Buddha,
Who had passed away a long time ago,
Made a loud voice like the roar of a lion
According to his great vow.Many-Treasures Tathāgata and I
And the Buddhas of my replicas,
Who have assembled here,
Wish to know who will do [all this].
